The max-min equation \(Ax=Bx\) for matrices \(A\), \(B\) over the lattice \(L=([0,1], \max, \min)\) was introduced by \textit{F. Tang} [Fuzzy Sets Syst. 28, No. 2, 217-226 (1988; Zbl 0664.15005)]. In this paper the solution family is described using the relative pseudocomplement in \(L\) [cf. \textit{K. L. Zhang}, Fuzzy Sets Syst. 59, No. 1, 109-113 (1993; Zbl 0794.06011)].
