The paper deals with asymptotic behavior of solutions to quasilinear parabolic equations. Precisely, let \(\Omega\subset \mathbb{R}^n\) be a bounded domain with smooth boundary, and denote by \(u(t,x)\) an arbitrary bounded solution in \([0,\infty)\times \overline{\Omega}\) of the problem \[ d(t,x)u_t= \sum^n_{i,j=1} a_{ij}(t,x)u_{x_i} u_{x_j}+b(t,x,u,u_x), \qquad u(t,x)=0, \quad (t,x)\in[0,\infty)\times \partial\Omega. \] Further on, let \(v(x)\) be a solution in \(\overline{\Omega}\) of the elliptic equation \[ \sum^n_{i,j=1} a^\infty_{ij}(x) v_{x_i}v_{x_j}+ b^\infty(x,v,v_x)=0 \] subjected to homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions. Imposing suitable parabolicity (ellipticity), structural and Cordes-type conditions on the coefficients above, the author proves that \(\lim_{t\to\infty} \{\sup_{x\in\overline{\Omega}}|u(t,x)-v(x)|\}=0\) whenever the coefficients of the parabolic operator converge weakly (in \(L^2\)) to the coefficients of the elliptic operator.
