Let \(E_n\) denote the space of entire functions on \(\mathbb{C}^n\). In the present article, we consider direct and inverse problems for the equation \[ {\partial^k y\over \partial t^k}+ a_1 {\partial^{k- 1} y\over \partial t^{k- 1}}+\cdots+ a_k y= 0,\tag{1} \] where \(\{a_i\}^k_1\subset E_n\). We study its solutions \(y= y(t, z)\), \((t, z)\in \mathbb{C}\times \mathbb{C}^n\), in the class \(E_{n+ 1}\). Moreover, we consider the inverse problem for equation (1) with unknown coefficients. The method proposed is a multidimensional version of Prony's method and its modifications for the ordinary differential equations of the form (1) with constant coefficients. In particular, we present an interpolation formula for the ``multidimensional Prony operator'' which under certain conditions associate with a given set of entire functions \(\{g_r, r= 0, 1,\dots, N\}\) an entire solution \(f\) to equation (1) such that \(f(r, z)= g_r(z)\) for \(z\in \mathbb{C}^n\) and \(r= 0,1,\dots, N\), i.e., in the terminology of M. M. Lavrent'ev, a solution of the interior problem for equation (1).
