On certain classes of metric spaces (Q1920708)

Translation from the Russian: The notion of absolute \(t\)-retract was introduced in [\textit{P. V. Chernikov}, Sib. Mat. Zh. 32, No. 2(186), 208 (1991; Zbl 0736.28005)]. In the present article some properties of absolute (neighbourhood) \(t\)-retracts (\(A(N)R_t\)-spaces) are established. In particular, a proposition on the structure of absolute neighbourhood \(t\)-retracts is proved, topological products of \(ANR_t\)-spaces are considered and an addition theorem for absolute \(t\)-retracts is proved. A theorem on the extension of maps with values in a CW-complex is also mentioned.
