Frequency conditions for robust stability (Q1921495)

The author presents the formulation of a number of necessary and sufficient conditions for the robust stability of linear continuous stationary finite-dimensional systems under a fairly general condition of parametric uncertainty, in terms of frequency characteristics. The notion of a support function, in terms of which criteria for robust stability are formulated, is proposed in the case of convex sets of uncertainty in the frequency domain. The approach of this paper, and in particular the concepts of a supporting ray function, a supporting radius function, the use of supporting functions, etc., indicate the author's experience in the field of control of systems with distributed parameters.
