Iterative procedures with complete splitting of the boundary conditions for solving the boundary-value problem for the Stokes system in a sphere and spherical layer, which are modifications of those previously considered for a circle and a ring, are constructed and investigated. By making the best choice of quasi-inverse operators for the boundary operator, a much higher rate of convergence of the methods is obtained.
