On functional Volterra equations (Q1921685)

This paper is dedicated to the general theory (mainly existence) of solutions to the abstract Volterra equation \((E)\) \(z(t) = F[z](t)\), where \(t= (t^1, \dots, t^n) \in \mathbb{R}^n\) is the independent variable. A definition is given for the ``Volterra'' type operator \(F\). The set-up of the problem is in spaces of Lebesgue measurable functions. Besides continuity conditions, Lipschitz type conditions are also dealt with (to secure uniqueness of the solution). Local results as well as global results are provided (extension or continuation of solutions).
