Let \(\Omega\subset\mathbb{R}^n\), \(n\geq2\), be an unbounded domain with a noncompact sufficiently smooth boundary. The equation \[ u_t+(-1)^m\sum_{|\alpha|=m} D^\alpha(|D^mu|^{p-2}D^\alpha u)=0,\quad p>2,\quad m\geq1 \] together with the Cauchy initial condition \(u(x,0)=u_0(x)\), \(x\in\Omega\), is considered in \(D=\Omega\times(t>0)\). Under certain conditions it is proved that, for any \(T>0\), a solution in the domain \(D_T=\Omega\times(0,T)\) is equal to zero in \(\Omega\backslash\Omega_{R(T)}\) for all \(t\in(0,T)\), where \(R(T)\) is a function which exactly characterizes the geometry of a domain and \(\Omega_R=\Omega\cap K_R\), \(K_R=\{|x|<R\}\).
