The author tries to give a comprehensive answer to the following question: What is (and what has been) the influence of Felix Klein's ``Erlanger Programm'' on the teaching of geometry at German grammar-schools? This very interesting paper contains a detailed survey on various answers given to that question during the last 100 years. According to the author's point of view the ``Erlanger Programm'' has (and had) rather little influence on the curricula of grammar schools in Germany.
