    The following perturbed problem is considered \[ \varepsilon^2u_{tt}- M(|\nabla u|^2_2)\Delta u+\delta u_{t}+\mu|u|^\rho u=0,\quad t\geq 0,\;x\in \Omega, \] \[ u(x,0)= u_0(x),\;u_t(x,0)= u_{1\varepsilon}(x),\quad x\in\Omega,\quad u(x,t)|_{\partial\Omega}=0,\quad t\geq 0, \] where \(0<\varepsilon\leq 1\), \(\delta>0\), \(\mu>0\) are given constants, \(|\cdot|_2\) is the \(L_2\)-norm, and \(M(S)\) is a positive \(C^1\)-function on \([0,\infty)\). It is proved that if the appropriate norms of \(u_0\), \(u_{1\varepsilon}\) are sufficiently small, then the solution tends, as \(\varepsilon\to 0\), to the solution to the limit problem \[ \delta u_t- M(|\nabla u|^2_2)\Delta u+\mu|u|^\rho u=0,\quad t>0,\;x\in \Omega, \] \[ u(x,0)= u_0(x),\quad x\in \Omega,\quad u(x,t)|_{\partial\Omega}=0,\quad t\geq 0. \]
