Universal exponential solution of the Yang-Baxter equation (Q1922497)

In a previous paper the authors showed that a theory of generalized Schubert polynomials of Lascoux and Schützenberger can be obtained from exponential solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation. In this work they prove equivalent conditions that allow them to construct explicitly a corresponding local stationary algebra \(A_0\) which has as quotient, for example, the universal enveloping algebra of \(gl(n)\). This in turn allows one to construct solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation. They also treat some generalizations of the Yang-Baxter equation.
