The classical Dold-Thom Theorem asserts that for every connected polyhedron \(X\) there is an isomorphism \(H_*(X, \mathbb{Z}) \cong \pi_*(AG(X))\) between the integral singular homology of \(X\) and the homotopy groups of the free abelian topological group \(AG(X)\) generated by the points of \(X\) [\textit{A. Dold} and \textit{R. Thom}, Ann. Math., II. Ser. 67, 239-281 (1958; Zbl 0091.37102)]. In this paper we introduce the notion of intersection homotopy groups and prove the following analogue of the Dold-Thom Theorem for intersection homology. The Intersection Dold-Thom Theorem: For every perversity \(\overline p\) and every connected stratified polyhedron \(X\) there is an isomorphism \(I_{\overline p} H_*(X,\mathbb{Z}) \cong I_{\overline p} \pi_*(AG(X))\), where \(I_{\overline p} \pi_*(AG(X))\) stands for the intersection homotopy groups of \(AG(X)\), taken with respect to a finite filtration of \(AG(X)\) induced by the stratification of \(X\).
