The author introduces some classes of exponential compositions related to Hausdorff's moment sequences. It turns out that one of these classes coincides with the known class of holomorphic functions defined by the \(q\)-difference operator. For example: Let \(A_0\) denote the class of analytic functions \(h\), \(h(0)=0\), in the unit disc \(E= \{z: |z|< 1\}\), \(M\) -- the class of nondecreasing functions \(\mu(x)\), \(|\mu|<\infty\) in \((0,1\rangle\) with \(\int^1_{0^+} xd\mu(x) <\infty\) and the given value \([x\mu(x)]_{x=0} \in(-\infty,0)\), \(M_0\) -- the subclass of functions \(\mu\in M\) such that \(x\mu(x)\) is right -- continuous at \(x=0\). Let \(\mu\in M_0\) and let \(EC(\mu)\) denote the class of functions \(f(z)=z \exp(\int^1_0 w(zx)d \mu (x))\) where \(w\in A_0\) and satisfies the condition \(\text{Re} w(z)>- {1\over 2}\), \(z\in E\). Theorem 4. \(EC(\log x^2)=S^*\) (this is the known class of starlike functions in \(E)\). In this paper the author also obtains sharp bounds for some functionals in the classes considered. For example, if \(f\in EC(\mu)\) and \(\log f(z)/z = \sum^\infty_{n=1} \beta_nz^n\), \(z\in E\), then he obtains the maximum of some functional depending on \(|\beta_1|, \dots, |\beta_n |\) in this class (Theorem 8).
