Summary: Relatively nonexpansive mappings and equilibrium problems are considered based on a shrinking projection method. Using properties of the generalized \(f\)-projection operator, a strong convergence theorem for relatively nonexpansive mappings and equilibrium problems is proved in Banach spaces under some suitable conditions.
