The author proves the amazing fact that, given the linear order axioms, the Pasch axiom is equivalent to its outer form together with the non-planarity either of \(K_ 5\) or of \(K_{3,3}\). Hence the non-planarity of one of these graphs can be used as an axiom for plane ordered geometry, replacing the Pasch axiom.
