Following a line of reasoning similar to that introduced to obtain a Goursat decomposition for biharmonic functions in Euclidean space, a Goursat representation formula for polyharmonic functions in Euclidean space is derived. The generalization to higher dimensions of the concept of holomorphy used is accomplished via Clifford analysis with monogenic functions -- null solutions of a generalized Cauchy-Riemann operator acting on functions in \(\mathbb{R}^{m+1}\), or subspaces thereof. The paper includes a section on the basics of Clifford algebra and Clifford analysis and a section on useful results on polyharmonic functions before proceeding to the determination of the representation formulas. A Goursat generalization to \(\mathbb{R}^3\) was obtained by \textit{K. Gürlebeck} and \textit{S. Bock} [Math. Methods Appl. Sci. 32, No. 2, 223--240 (2009; Zbl 1151.74308)] using quaternionic analysis, and \textit{F. A. Bogashov} [Russ. Acad. Sci., Dokl., Math. 48, No. 2, 259--262 (1994); translation from Dokl. Akad. Nauk, Ross. Akad. Nauk 332, No. 2, 135--137 (1993; Zbl 0823.31003)] obtained a generalization to \(\mathbb C^2\). The paper is well-written and motivated -- an interesting read. Finding a Goursat decomposition for an open subregion of Euclidean space is left as an open problem.
