The geometry of smooth Fano 3-folds is dictated by conics on them and after \textit{C. H. Clemens} and \textit{P. A. Griffiths} [Ann. Math. (2) 95, 281--356 (1972; Zbl 0214.48302)] the study of these varieties is strictly related to their intermediate Jacobian. The paper under review focuses on the Fano 3-fold of genus 6. Using, in an highly non-trivial way, methods and ideas of [loc. cit.], the author studies the Fano surface, that is the surface parameterising conics, of this 3-folds and proves, among other interesting geometric properties, that its Albanese is isogenous to the intermediate Jacobian of the 3-fold and the 3-fold is uniquely determined by its Fano surface.
