Based on \textit{C. Wang}'s system of Möbius invariants [Manuscr. Math. 96, No. 4, 517--534 (1998; Zbl 0912.53012)], the authors investigate \(m\)-dimensional hypersurfaces in the conformal \((m+1)\)-sphere for \(m\geq3\) with two different principal curvatures and for which Wang's Möbius form is closed. Up to Möbius transformation these hypersurfaces come in two flavours (Theorem 1.1): as products of a sphere and a space form with appropriately weighted curvatures, or as products of a space form and a curve in an ``opposite'' space form. The combination with a result by \textit{E. Cartan} [Bull. Soc. Math. Fr. 45, 57--121 (1917; JFM 46.1129.02)], that every conformally flat hypersurface of dimension \(m\geq 4\) is a branched channel hypersurface, i.e., has a principal curvature of multiplicity at least \(m-1\), yields a classification and constructions for conformally flat hypersurfaces with closed Möbius form (Corollary 1.2).
