    Let \((E, {\mathcal E})\) be a measurable space. A kernel on \(E\) is a map \(K\) from \(E \times {\mathcal E}\) to \([0,\infty]\) with certain measurability properties. Let \(q:E \to [0,\infty] \) and \(q\) be \(\mathcal E\)-measurable. The authors consider the Schrödinger-type perturbation of \(K\) by \(q\), defined as the kernel \[ \widetilde{K}=\sum_{n=0}^\infty (Kq)^nK. \] The main results of the paper under review concern the space-time case \(E = {\mathbb R} \times X\) (\(X\) is state space -- a set with \(\sigma\)-algebra) and \textit{forward kernel} \(K\), i.e., \[ K(s, x, A) = 0 \text{ provided that } A \subset (-\infty, s] \times X \, (A \in {\mathcal E}, \, s \in {\mathbb R}). \] It is also assumed that \[ KqK(s, x, A) \leq \int_A K(s, x, dt\,dy) [\eta + Q(s, t)], \,(s, x) \in E,\, A \in{\mathcal E}, \] where the function \(Q : {\mathbb R} \times {\mathbb R} \to [0,\infty)\) satisfies the following condition of super-additivity: \(Q(u, r) + Q(r, v) \leq Q(u, v)\) for all \(u < r < v\). The authors prove that the perturbed kernel is locally in time comparable with the original kernel (\(c^{-1}K\leq \widetilde{K}\leq cK\), \(c> 0\)).
