Lower bounds for nodal sets of Dirichlet and Neumann eigenfunctions (Q1936418)

The paper gives lower bounds for the Hausdorff measure of the nodal set \(\{\varphi=0\}\) of eigenfunctions of the Laplace-Beltrami operator on compact Riemannian manifolds with boundary and generalizes several known results to higher dimensions. The bounds are discussed for both Dirichlet and Neumann boundary conditions. In addition, the article summarizes the current known results about the nodal set of eigenfunctions of the Laplace-Beltrami operator on Riemannian manifolds.
