Matsumoto metrics of constant flag curvature: a puny class of Finsler metrics with constant curvature (Q1936939)

The study of spaces of constant flag curvature has been one of the most important problems in Finsler geometry. However, due to the complexity of the issues, this is far from being fully understood. In this paper, the authors consider the Matsumoto metrics of constant flag curvature. The main result is that a Matsumoto metric of constant flag curvature on a closed manifold is either Riemannian or locally Minkowskian.
