By a \(G\)-space is understood a topological space \(X\) on which a topological group \(G\) acts continuously. The \(G\)-orbits of points \(x\in X\) are denoted by \(Gx\). The authors consider \(X\) to be a metric space \((X,d)\). A homeomorphism \(h: X\to X\) is said to be \(G\)-expansive if there is a constant \(\alpha> 0\) such that for each two points \(x,y\in X\) with distinct orbits, i.e., \(Gx\neq Gy\) there exists \(n\in\mathbb{N}\) so that \(d(h^n(u), h^n(v))>\alpha\) for all \(u\in Gx\) and \(v\in Gy\). Two points \(x,y\in X\) are said to be positively \(G\)-asymptotic if for each \(\varepsilon> 0\) there exists \(N\in\mathbb{N}\) so that \(n\geq N\) implies \(d(h^n(gx), h^n(ky))<\varepsilon\) for all \(g,k\in G\). Negative asymptoticity is defined analogously. The authors find necessary and sufficient conditions for the given two points \(x,y\in X\) to be \(G\)-asymptotic. They also show that the problem of \(G\)-expansive homeomorphisms \(h: B\to B\) on normed spaces is equivalent to the more restricted problem, where the action of \(G\) on \(B\) is required to be linear.
