For \(G\) a finite group, according to \textit{M.~V.~Nori} [Compos. Math. 33, 29--41 (1976; Zbl 0337.14016)] ``a \(G\)-torsor \(f:X \to Y\) in the category of algebraic varieties'' over a characteristic \(0\) field ``can be viewed as a tensor functor \(Rep-G \to Vect(Y)\)'', namely, a representation \(V\) is sent to the vector bundle \(f_{\ast} (V\otimes \mathcal{O})^G\). ``When the cover ramifies, as observed by \textit{M.~V.~Nori} [Proc. Indian Acad. Sci., Math. Sci. 91, 73--122 (1982; Zbl 0586.14006)], we need to put tensor functors in the category of vector bundles with appropriate parabolic structure.'' When \(Y=\mathbb{P}^1\), by a well known theorem of Grothendieck, \(f_{\ast} (V\otimes \mathcal{O})^G= \oplus \mathcal{O} (s_i)\), where \(s_i\) are integers. In general the integers \(s_i\) are not easy to determine. The main result of the paper ``is to find an upper bound on them, when there is a ramification at \(0,1\) and \(\infty\) only''. ``The bound improves \dots the known bound in [\textit{N. Borne}, Int. Math. Res. Not. 2007, No. 16, Article ID rnm049, 38 p. (2007; Zbl 1197.14035)]. The paper has 8 sections; the first ones are devoted to recall definitions, known results and constructions, put in the required context. ``The new results begin in section 6, where one describes a construction on parabolic bundles that corresponds to the pullback of orbifold bundles. In Section 7 one uses some combinatorics to describe the case of cyclic covers. Finally, Section 8 gives an upper bound on the integers \(s_i\) described previously in the case of a \(G\)-cover of \(\mathbb{P}^1\setminus \{0,1,\infty\}\); here, the group \(G\) need not be abelian''.
