This article deals with 6-dimensional solvable Lie algebras. In particular the author studies their cohomology in relation to symplectic structures and Strong geometry. The author improves previous classifications of unimodular solvable non-nilpotent Lie algebras and gives all symplectic structures that each of such Lie algebras can admit. Also, second and third Betty numbers of 6-dimensional unimodular, solvable, non-nilpotent Lie algebras \(\text{mgg}\) are computed so those for which \(\beta_2(\text{mgg})=\beta_3(\text{mgg})\) (related to Strong geometry) are identified. Relationships between the cohomology and the codimension of the nilradical of the solvable Lie algebra are established. Some particular cohomologies introduced by \textit{L. S. Tseng} and \textit{S. T. Yau} [J. Differ. Geom. 91, No. 3, 383--416 (2012; Zbl 1275.53079)] for symplectic manifolds are considered in this work. It is proved for a compact solvmanifold \(M=G/\Gamma\) that when the de Rham cohomology of \(M\) can be computed with the complex of left invariant forms, these symplectic comologies can also be computed throughout this complex. As an application, examples of solvmanifolds satisfying the hard Lefschetz property are given.
