    The authors consider a general reaction-diffusion system \[ U_t = \delta^2 D \Delta U + F(U),\quad t>0,\quad x\in\Omega \eqno{(*)} \] with the Neumann boundary condition, where \(U = U(t,x)\) is unknown \(N\)-dimensional vector-function, \(D\) is a diagonal diffusion matrix with positive entries, \(\delta > 0\) is a small parameter, and \(\Omega\) is a bounded domain in \(\mathbb{R}^2\) with a sufficiently smooth boundary \(\partial\Omega\). Assuming that the auxiliary problem \[ U_t = D \Delta U + F(U),\quad t>0,\quad x\in\mathbb{R}^2_+ := \{ (x_1,x_2)\in\mathbb{R}^2 : x_2>0 \} \] with the Neumann boundary condition has stable trivial solution \(U(x,t) = (0,\dots,0) \in \mathbb{R}^N\) and a neutrally stable radially symmetric solution \(S(r)\) with asymptotic behavior \(S(r) \sim r^{-1/2} e^{-\alpha r}\) for large \(r = \sqrt{x_1^2 + x_2^2}\), the authors perform the center manifold reduction for a single boundary spike solution and a multiple boundary spike solution of the original problem \((*)\). In this way, they obtain dynamical equations describing the motion of spikes along the boundary \(\partial\Omega\).
