The authors use a Weyl-Cartan space, i.e., a space-time including torsion, to calculate the expansion of the universe in the presence of a Dirac scalar field. To this end they apply methods of quantum field theory. The same authors have already earlier discussed the Weyl-Cartan space, see [\textit{O. V. Baburova} et al., Russ. Phys. J. 54, No. 1, 121--123 (2011); translation from Izv. Vyssh. Uchebn. Zaved., Fiz., No. 1, 109--110 (2011; Zbl 1242.83085)]. Note: Due to an incorrect back-translation, the English language version of this paper contains the name Kartan, which should always read Cartan.
