The present paper is the third in the series of papers dealing with extensions of the matrix Dirac-type formalism for the Maxwell equations (the first two are: \textit{V. M. Red'kov, N. G. Tokarevskaya} and \textit{G. J. Spix} [Adv. Appl. Clifford Algebr. 22, No. 4, 1129--1149 (2012; Zbl 1271.78011) and Adv. Appl. Clifford Algebr. 23, No. 1, 165--178 (2013; Zbl 1273.78005)]). Here the emphasis is made on solving the Maxwell equations on the background of spaces of constant curvature of Riemann and Lobachevsky in spherical coordinates. The associated separation of variables is analyzed in the both cases.
