The authors consider the two-dimensional steady compressible flow of two different media and refraction of shocks on the interface. Only the case of subsonic transmitted shock with supersonic incident shock (E-H type) is studied. Steady Euler equations with the Bernoulli equation describe the flow. The unknown reflected shock front and the transmitted shock front are treated as free boundaries. In the iterative scheme these boundaries are temporarily fixed. The stability of the E-H type regular refraction is established.
