Let \(A\) be a Dedekind ring whose fraction field has characteristic zero and which has a residue field of characteristic \(p\). Let \(X\) be a regular scheme of pure dimension which is flat of finite type over \(S:=\text{Spec}(A)\) and which is a smooth or semistable family around its fibers over \(S\) of characteristic \(p\). The first part of the paper concerns the constructions of the Chern class maps \(C_{r,m}\) and the cycle class maps \(Cl_X^{r,m}\) from the higher algebraic groups \(K_m(X)\) and the higher Chow groups \(\text{CH}^r(X,m)\) to the étale cohomology groups \(H_{\text{ét}}^{2r-m}(X,\mathfrak{L}_n(r)_X)\), where \(\mathfrak{L}_n(r)_X\) was developed by the author, with respect to the derived category of étale \(\mathbb{Z}/{p^n}\)-sheaves on \(X\), to play the role of the \(r\)-th Tate twist with \(\mathbb{Z}/{p^n}\)-coefficients. To achieve his aim, the author proved the projective bundle formula for \(p\)-adic étale Tate twists (the Dold-Thom isomorphism) and introduced a version of \(p\)-adic étale Tate twists with log poles along horizontal normal crossing divisors which admits a \(p\)-adic analogue of the usual homotopy invariance and a semi-purity property. In the second part of the paper under review, let \(A\) be a \(p\)-adic integer ring and that \(X\) is projective over \(A\) with strict semistable reduction, the author related the \(p\)-adic étale Tate twists with the finite part of Galois cohomology. As an application, the author proved that the integral part of \(p\)-adic regulator maps has values in the finite part of Galois cohomology if assuming \(p\) is sufficiently large and the monodromy-weight conjecture holds for the log crystalline cohomology of the reduction of \(X\) in degree \(r-1\). This result is helpful for the study of special values of \(L\)-functions in the spirit of Bloch-Kato.
