On Gauss problem for the Lüroth expansion (Q1946804)

The present paper is an excellent continuation of the first author's and \textit{S. Grigorescu}'s book [Dependence with complete connections and its applications. Cambridge (UK): Cambridge University Press (1990; Zbl 0749.60067)], by using a suitable random system with complete connections in order to solve asymptotic problems on Lüroth expansion, as for instance the well-known Gauss' problem. The presentation is clear and didactically developed, evoluting to a more general solution to Gauss' problem.
