Differentiability of the Minkowski question mark function (Q1947470)

The authors obtain sufficient and necessary criteria under which the derivative of the Minkowski question mark function \(?(x)\) is zero respectively infinity. The conditions are formulated in terms of a partial sum of the continued fraction coefficients of \(x\). These results improve earlier work of \textit{J. Paradís} et al. [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 253, No. 1, 107--125 (2001; Zbl 0995.26005)] and of \textit{A. A. Dushistova} and \textit{N. G. Moshchevitin} [J. Math. Sci., New York 182, No. 4, 463--471 (2012); translation from Fundam.
