On free energies of the Ising model on the Cayley tree (Q1949776)

On non-amenable graphs, not only Gibbs measures but also the free energy and entropy depend on boundary conditions. The paper addresses in some detail this dependence, while specializing the problem to the Ising model on the Cayley tree (Bethe lattice). A number of explicit formulas is derived for translation-invariant, periodic, Dobrushin-like boundary conditions. Special attention is paid to the recently discovered weakly periodic Gibbs states [the second author and the third author, Theor. Math. Phys. 160, No. 3, 1292--1300 (2009); translation from Teor.
