Entire functions sharing an entire function of smaller order with their shifts (Q1949994)

A recent development in value distribution theory is to study the value distribution of differences and shifts of meromorphic functions. In the mean time the basic tools of Nevanlinna theory for differences and shifts have been developed by many authors. Using these basic tools a number of authors investigate further problems on value distribution of difference and shift functions. In the paper under review the authors study the growth of the solutions of a difference equation and prove some results on uniqueness of entire functions that share an entire function of smaller order with their shifts.
