      The authors study the boundedness properties of bilinear pseudodifferential operators \[ T_\sigma(f,g)(x)= \int_{\mathbb{R}^{2n}} e^{ix(\xi+\eta)} \sigma(x,\xi,\eta)\widehat f(\xi)\widehat g(\eta)\,d\xi\,d\eta. \] In particular, in the sense when the symbols \(\sigma\) satisfy the estimates \[ |D^\alpha_x D^\beta_\xi D^\gamma_\eta \sigma(x,\xi,\eta)|\leq C_{\alpha\beta\gamma} (1+|\xi|+ |\eta|)^{\delta|\alpha|-(|\beta|+ |\gamma|)} \] with \(0\leq \delta< 1\), they prove that \(T_\sigma\) has a bounded extension from \(L^p\times L^q\) into \(L^r\) for all \(1< p\), \(q<\infty\) such that \(1/p+ 1/q= 1/r\). The result in the translation invariant case was proved by \textit{R. R. Coifman} and \textit{Y. Meyer} [Au dela des opérateurs pseudo-différentiels. Asterisque 57, 185 p. (1978; Zbl 0483.35082)].
