In this paper, it is proved that every circle diffeomorphism with irrational rotation number and belonging to the Denjoy class \(C^{1+bv}\) has no invariant 1-distribution (i.e., a continuous linear functional defined on the space of \(C^1\) real-valued functions on the circle) different from the invariant measure. An analogous result for \(C^\infty\) diffeomorphisms was obtained in [\textit{A. Avila} and \textit{A. Kocsard}, Duke Math. J. 158, No. 3, 501--536 (2011; Zbl 1225.37052)]. It is also shown that diffeomorphisms with lower regurality may admit invariant 1-distributions. More precisely, for every irrational \(\rho \) there exists a \(C^1\) circle diffeomorphism having the rotation number \(\rho \) and an invariant 1-distribution different from the invariant measure. Such a diffeomorphism can be assumed either to be minimal or to admit a minimal invariant Cantor set. To show this, some results from [\textit{H. Kodama} and \textit{S. Matsumoto}, Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 141, No. 6, 2061--2067 (2013; Zbl 1277.37069); \textit{R. Douady} and \textit{J.-C. Yoccoz}, Regul. Chaotic Dyn. 4, No. 4, 19--38 (1999; Zbl 1012.37024)] are used.
