Polynomial reformulation of the Kuo criteria for v- sufficiency of map-germs (Q1956547)

The author gives necessary and sufficient conditions for \(v\)-sufficiency of jets of map-germs \(f:({\mathbb R}^n,0)\to ({\mathbb R}^m,0)\) that generalize the classical Kuiper-Kuo and Thom conditions in the case \(m=1\), and the Kuo conditions in the general map case. Instead of verifying inequalities in so-called horn-neighborhoods of \(f^{-1}(0)\) as in the Kuo conditions, the result reduces the problem of \(v\)-sufficiency to evaluating the local Łojasiewicz exponents for some constructively built polynomial functions. An example of application to the study of bifurcation problems is given.
