Let \(\pi\) be a set of primes. A finite group \(G\) is called an \(E^u_\pi\)-group if \(G\) has a supersoluble Hall \(\pi\)-subgroup. A formation \(\mathcal F\) is called solubly saturated if, for every finite group \(G\), the condition \(G/\Phi(G_S)\in{\mathcal F}\) implies \(G\in{\mathcal F}\), where \(G_S\) denotes that soluble radical of \(G\). It is shown that the class \(E^u_\pi\) of \(E^u_\pi\)-groups is a solubly saturated formation, but \(E^u_{\{5,11\}}\) is not saturated.
