    Proving Ramanujan's partition congruences \(p(11n+ 6)\equiv 0\pmod{11}\) in an elementary way [\textit{L. Winquist}, J. Comb. Theory 6, 56--59 (1969; Zbl 0241.05006)] discovered a two parameter double product identity. Winquist's identity has several proofs and generalizations, cf. [\textit{L. Carlitz} and \textit{M. V. Subbarao}, Duke Math. J. 39, 165--172 (1972; Zbl 0243.05014)], \textit{M. D. Hirschhorn} [J. Indian Math. Soc., New Ser. 51, 49--55 (1987; Zbl 0677.10011)], \textit{S.-Y. Kang} [J. Comb. Theory, Ser. A 78, No. 2, 313--318 (1997; Zbl 0944.11033)], \textit{S. Kongsiriwong} and \textit{Z.-G. Liu} [Result. Math. 44, No. 3--4, 312--339 (2003; Zbl 1053.11015)], \textit{W. Chu} and \textit{Q. Yan} [Eur. J. Comb. 29, No. 3, 581--591 (2008; Zbl 1211.11113)]. In the paper under review the authors give two new proofs of Winquist's identity. The Jacobi triple product identity is used only in the first proof.
