The author presents a systematic approach to the problem of diagonalization of transfer matrices of statistical models derived from solutions of (graded) Yang-Baxter equation, which are based on higher-dimensional representations of Lie (super-) algebras and their quantum deformations in auxiliary space, which are not of fusion type. The author uses the method of nested algebraic Bethe ansatz. The results are illustrated by the diagonalization of the transfer-matrix of a model based on the product of two different four-dimensional representations of \(U_q(\widehat{gl}'(2,1,{\mathcal C}))\). The paper has 3 appendices, where the reader can find elements of certain \(R\)-matrix which appeared in the arguments, some details on the algebraic Bethe ansatz and a few details on the derivation of certain commutation relations.
