The author considers two anisotropic weighted Sobolev spaces. The former consists of functions \(u(x)\in W_{p,\text{loc}}^l(R^n)\) (\(l=(l_1,l_2,\ldots,l_n)\) is a multiindex) such that \[ \|u\|_{W_{p,\sigma}^l(R^n)}= \sum\limits_{0\leq \alpha\beta\leq 1}\|(1+\langle x\rangle)^{-\sigma (1-\alpha\beta)}D^{\beta}_x u(x)\|_{L_p(R^n)} <\infty,\;\langle x\rangle^{2}=\sum\limits_{j=1}^n x_j^{2l_j}, \] where \(\sigma\) is real and \(\alpha=(1/l_1,1/l_2,\ldots,1/l_n)\). The latter is a completion of the class \(C_0^{\infty}(R^n)\) with respect to the norm \(\|\cdot\|_{W_{p,\sigma}^l(R^n)}\). The following questions are under consideration: the description of values of the parameters \(\sigma\), \(\alpha\), and \(p\) when these two spaces coincide; embedding theorems for these spaces; the question of behavior at infinity for functions in these spaces.
