Let \(A\) be a linear associative algebra over an algebraically closed field \(K\). The author characterizes when \(A\) is triangularizable in terms of various conditions on the non-units of \(A\). The main theorem establishes the equivalence of several conditions, including the three given below. (1) \(A\) is triangularizable (i.e., the group of units of \(A\) is solvable); (2) The set of non-units of \(A\) is the union of finitely many \(K\)-subspaces of \(A\); (3) Each irreducible component of the set of non-units of \(A\) is a \(K\)-subspace of \(A\).
