The paper under review deals with the conjectures of Broué and Dade, for modular representations of finite groups. The approach is via graded rings and equivariant equivalences between their derived module categories. It is first shown that such equivalences induce equivariant maps between Grothendieck groups. Then the author formulates an equivariant version of Broué's conjecture for blocks with Abelian defect groups and shows that this conjecture implies Dade's invariant conjecture for such blocks. Finally, it is checked that the equivariant form of Broué's conjecture holds for blocks with cyclic defect groups, by generalizing an argument of Rouquier.
