Entropy and information energy for fuzzy sets (Q1965325)

This paper deals with the entropy of fuzzy sets, a measure of fuzziness, and with so-called information energy. Some trivial properties of these parameters, especially a kind of homogeneity, are shown. Finally, the complementarity of two discussed parameters is shown (i.e., for the information energy \(E\), \(1-E\) is a special entropy of fuzzy sets). However, the last result makes superfluous long proofs of presented properties of the information energy parameter, which can be immediately obtained from the corresponding properties of fuzzy entropies.
