\textit{Ha Huy Bang} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 347, No. 3, 1067-1080 (1995; Zbl 0828.42009)] has shown the relation between the behaviour of a sequence of norms of the derivatives of a function and the support of its Fourier transform, through the relation \[ \lim_{|\alpha |\to\infty} \Biggl\{{\|D^\alpha f\|_p\over \sup_{\text{sp}(f)}|\xi^\alpha|}\Biggr\}^{{1\over |\alpha|}}= 1,\tag{1} \] where \(0< p\leq\infty\), \(f\in{\mathcal S}'(\mathbb{R}^n)\) and \(\text{sp}(f)= \text{supp}(\widehat f)\) is bounded; \(\widehat f(\xi)\) is the Fourier transform of \(f(x)\), \({\mathcal S}'\) is the dual of space of the Schwartz space \({\mathcal S}\) of rapidly decreasing infinitely differentiable functions. The author claims that the above result, obtained for the \(L_p\)-norm, is valid for a norm generated by a concave function, \(\|\cdot\|_{N_\Phi}\). Terminologies employed are, \(C\) is the family of all non-zero concave functions \(\Phi:[0, +\infty)\to [0, +\infty]\), which are non-decreasing and satisfy \(\Phi(0)= 0\), the definition \[ \|f\|_{N_\Phi}= \int^\infty_0 \Phi(\lambda_f(t)) dt \tag{2} \] holds for an arbitrary measurable function \(f\) and \(\Phi\in C\), such that \(\lambda_f(t)= \mu(\{x:|f(x)|> t\})\), \(t\geq 0\). \(N_\Phi(N_\Phi= N_\Phi(\mathbb{R}^n))\) be the space of all measurable functions \(f\), such that \(\|f\|_{N_\Phi}< \infty\). In order to attain the proposed claim [cf. (1) above], the author used few known results, in the form of interesting lemmas [p. 344-346, this paper]. The Theorem (p. 346, this paper) is the central result, the proof of which is discussed in three steps, very neatly solved and adequate references are quoted as and when realized necessary. In step 1, the inequality \[ \varliminf_{|\alpha|\to\infty} \Biggl\{{\|D^\alpha f\|_{N_\Phi}\over |\xi^\alpha|} \Biggr\}^{{1\over |\alpha|}}\geq 1,\tag{3} \] is proven for any point \(\xi\in \text{sp}(f)\) [\(\text{sp}(f)\) means spectrum of \(f\), cf. \textit{E. Kreyszig}, ``Introductory functional analysis with applications'', New York etc. (1978; Zbl 0368.46014), p. 365]. Step 2 considers the proof for \[ \varliminf_{|\alpha|\to\infty} \Biggl\{{\|D^\alpha f\|_{N_\Phi}\over \sup_{\text{sp}(f)} |\xi^\alpha|} \Biggr\}^{{1\over |\alpha|}}\geq 1,\tag{4} \] while in step 3, the author asserts \[ \varlimsup_{|\alpha|\to\infty} \Biggl\{{\|D^\alpha f\|_{N_\Phi}\over \sup_{\text{sp}(f)}|\xi^\alpha|} \Biggr\}^{{1\over |\alpha|}}\leq 1.\tag{5} \] It may be of interest to note that (1) has been extended, as the author mentions, to any Orlicz norm [cf. \textit{Ha Huy Bang}: Russian Math. Dokl. 56, No. 1, 610-613 (1997) and Izv. Ross. Akad. Nauk, Ser. Mat. 61, No. 2, 163-198 (1997; Zbl 0902.46014)].
