Integration algorithm for modeling the elasto-viscoplastic response of polycrystalline materials (Q1968676)

Subject of this paper is the deformation of elastic-viscoplastic polycrystalline materials and the forming of textures. Starting from the multiplicative decomposition of deformation gradient into a plastic part and an elastic part, the authors derive an evolution equation for the elastic deformation gradient and another one for the hardness. Thereafter, they develop an implicit scheme for the integration of the former equation. They also discuss a modified procedure. The method proves to be effective, this is demonstrated by numerical results.
