Arnon completion of the Dyer-Lashof algebra (Q1968999)

This paper builds a completion \(R_{\mu}\) of the Dyer-Lashof algebra which is analogous to a completion \(({\mathcal A}_{\mu})*\) of the dual of the Steenrod algebra due to Arnon and Hu'ng. Arnon obtains \({\mathcal A}_{\mu}\) as the completion of \({\mathcal A}\) with respect to its halving homomorphism. The analogous \(R_{\mu}\) can be further completed with respect to length to obtain \(\widehat{R_{\mu}}\). The authors show that the dual \((\widehat{R_{\mu}})^*\) contains \(({\mathcal A}_{\mu})*\) as a dense subalgebra.
