For a field \(K\) let \(B_n(K)\) be the subgroup of all upper-triangular matrices in \(GL_n(K)\) and let \(I_n(K)\) be the set of all upper-triangular matrices satisfying \(X^2=0\), i.e. nilpotent of degree two. \(B_n(K)\) acts on \(I_n(K)\) by conjugation. It is shown that every orbit in \(I_n(K)\) under the action of \(B_n(K)\) is uniquely determined by an involution. Moreover, in the case of a finite field \(K\) the explicit formulae for the cardinality of orbits are given.
