The authors describe and evaluate parallel algorithms based on domain decomposition methods for the numerical solution of singularly perturbed elliptic equations of the form \({\mathcal L}u(P)=f(P,u),\) \(P(x,y)\in \Omega \) \(u(P)=U(P),\) \(P\in \partial \Omega \) \noindent posed on a bounded domain \(\Omega \subset {\mathbb R}^{2},\) where \( {\mathcal L}=\mu ^{2}(\partial ^{2}/\partial x^{2}+\partial ^{2}/\partial y^{2})\) is a second order differential operator. The goal of this paper is to evaluate new variants of the two-level Schwarz methods that could overcome some difficulty as: low convergence rate of two-level Schwarz method, a high computational cost of the second level problems etc. There are compared the convergence proprieties and the parallel of the two-level Schwarz methods with its modifications.
