Families of random operators are considered in the context of \(C^*\)-algebras, where the crossed products provide a natural framework for these studies. The trace on the von Neumann algebra of a dynamical system is introduced and several representations for it are obtained. The trace formula by \textit{M. A. Shubin} [Russ. Math. Surv. 34, No. 2, 109-157 (1979; Zbl 0448.47032)] is discussed and certain analogues of the classical Plancherel theorem are proved.
