The perturbation method of Krylov-Bogolyubov-Mitropolski is modified to investigate periodic solutions of the equations of motion of heavy solid, with one point fixed, rapidly spinning about the major or minor axis of its ellipsoid of inertia. The resulting perturbation is compared with numerical integration of the equations of motion.
